SOUNDPROOF ROOM

PLEASE NOTE THE SPR IS NOW OPEN FOR BOOKING

As a society, we are lucky enough to have the Soundproof Room (SPR), found in the basement of the Lewis Building, which can only be booked by Live Music members. The room is equipped with a full drum kit, piano, keyboard, bass cabinet, guitar amps, and a PA with multiple vocal mics, and is free to book once you have a membership.

If you want to use the room as a group, everybody using the Soundproof Room must have membership for insurance purposes, and these will be checked once you apply for a session. Please be respectful of the equipment and leave the room as you would like to find it. 

IMPORTANT: KEY RULES

1. Users should swipe through to the stairs/lift area with a UCL ID card.

2. Access key box 2 with a combination.

3. Lock the key box.

4. Make sure the swipe card door is also secure behind them. When the booking is finished they should lock the SPR and return to the key box, making sure that the key box is locked and the swipe card door is secure behind them.

5. The key should never leave the building.

6. A spare key will be kept at union reception should there be any issues.

You will need to book via Student Activities Reception, 2nd Floor, Bloomsbury Theatre, 15 Ground Street WC1H 0AH

Term Time Opening Hours: 10:00 – 21:00 Mon – Fri 11:00 - 19:00 Sat

Booking are limited to reception opening times Mon – Fri, key must be collected and returned to reception, immediately after your booking ends.
